Corn detasseling is an impressive summer job opportunity for students living in Southwestern Ontario. With the season lasting only a few short weeks you are able to earn a competitive wage and still enjoy much of your holidays. The work is challenging and the friendships are awesome — work well and hard, and the experience is well worth it.
Over the past 3 years I have nothing but good experiences with WR. The supervisors motivate us to do our best while having fun with new and old friends. The hard work pays off when you receive all your pay cheques at the end of the season.
AlexaCorn detasseling isn’t easy, having to wake up at six o’clock in the morning to walk through soaking wet rows, and work in really hot weather. But WR has great crew leaders with funny jokes, good training and good safety which helps a lot. Overall it’s a great time!
GriffinThe WR Detasseling working season fits perfectly with my summer schedule. There are enough hours to make money but not to exhaust us. I enjoy working with old and new friends. The hard work is not only rewarded by money, but also with a good entry on my resume.

JacquiCorn was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It’s great money, you meet lots of people and is shows you how to work hard. Personally I think they take safety really seriously, Especially with the Covid-19 Pandemic. We had to wear masks, gloves and face shields on the bus to insure safety for everyone. We have long, hot hours but once as you see how much money you make it’s all worth it

CassandraWorking with WR is a phenomenal experience! I got to meet new friends and great crew leaders. I enjoyed the steady work and safe environment. This is my third summer with WR and I would encourage any teen to walk the fields with us!
LukeThis summer was my fourth year working for WR Detasseling. Just like all of the past years, the supervisors are very friendly and make hours in the corn field very enjoyable! This job is a great way to make friends with hardworking individuals that you will recognize in the halls of your schools. On top of all of this, someone looking to work hard every day for the season can make over $3,000 like I did this year. WR is a great company if you are looking to have fun and make good money this summer! I look forward to coming back next year!

VictoriaThere are so many reasons why I love corn. Corn gives you opportunities to meet new people and make friends. It gives great working experience that look good when applying for other jobs. Its let you be outside in the fresh air while making amazing memories. This is why I love it so much!
SarahWR pays well, never overworks us, and the crew leaders make work fun. The season just flies by! Our crew has some good times. Also as long as you work hard and maintain a good attitude, you can move up quickly in the company.

The supervisors are really nice, and most are really funny! It is a lot of fun because you get to know some of the other workers AND you can make tons of CASH! I have been working for two years and I’m going to continue to come back to WR Detasseling because I have learned that working hard is good!
